UnitedHealthcare Gas Mileage Reimbursement Program

Beginning January 1, 2025, SafeRide Health will be supporting the UnitedHealthcare Group Retiree population in multiple states with non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services. To ensure no interruptions for passengers and drivers utilizing the gas mileage reimbursement mode of transportation, please ensure drivers complete registration using the online application portal.

No advanced notice is required for gas mileage reimbursement rides; however, if a ride is administered on or after January 1 without updated driver information on file, the driver will not be reimbursed. Eligible parties to drive a member include caregivers, family members, neighbors, and the member themselves. Please read on for additional information and instructions on registering and submitting for reimbursement.
