These Terms of Service are effective as of June 2, 2023. This policy describes the information processed to support the materials published or available on the SafeRide Health website (the “Website”), including, but not limited to text, photographs, images, illustrations, designs, audio clips, video clips, metadata, data, or compilations, (the“Content”) owned and operated by SafeRide, Inc (“SafeRide,” “we,” or“us”). This policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and most importantly, protect information that applies to the Website.
By using or accessing the Website in any manner, you (the “User”) accept the practices and policies outlined herein, and consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of your information (“Personal Information”) in the following ways. This policy applies to all Users of the Website.
1. Information We Collect. We collect the following types of information about you:
a. Information provided to us by you.
i. This information may be collected through online forms, requests to receive alerts, email communications, and other similar collection activities.
ii. SafeRide receives information about your interactions with our email messages such as links you click on and a confirmation when you open an email, helping to improve our communications and Website on your behalf.
iii. We may also collect information when you email, text, or otherwise share an article on the Website or contact us with a message.
iv. If you do not consent to the collection, use, or sharing of this type of information the manner described in the Privacy Policy, please do not provide us with such information. By providing such information, you are “opting in” to the collection, use and sharing of this information in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
b. Information from third-party applications.
i. Advertisers, developers, and partners may send us information though tools they use. These partners may provide information about your activities on their websites, products, or services, including information about your device, websites you visit, purchases you make, and how you use other services – whether or not you have an account or are logged in. Partners receive your data when you visit or use their services or through third parties they work with.
ii. SafeRide has no control over the policies and practices of third party websites and businesses as to privacy or data use, so your agreement to participate in any program or service relating to a Business Associate or affiliated business is provided at your own discretion. Please review all business or website policies prior to participation.
c. Cookies, Pixels, Tags, and Similar Technologies.
i. Use of our Website results in the collection of certain data to analyze and improve our Website.
ii. We may collect, or receive from third parties, information based on your IP address that provides us with your geolocation data to identify relevant markets for users down to a zip code level of detail and provide a better mobile experience. We may store, sell, disclose, or use this data to serve advertisements.
iii. If you use a mobile device to access the Website, we may identify the make, model, carrier, and unique identifier for your mobile device (for example, Google AdvertisingID) that allows mobile applications running on your mobile device to gather data for purposes of serving targeted advertising or personalized or“interest-based” sponsorship credits, and other information about your computer or mobile device and its browser, operating system, settings, and software. If you have an iOS mobile device, we may collect the Apple IDFA (a unique advertising identifier) if you have given SafeRide consent to receive this information.
iv. When you visit the Website, we (and our third-party partners) will send cookies – which are small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters to your computer which uniquely identifies your browser and allows you to long in faster, enhance your navigation of the Website, remember your preferences and generally improve your user experience by tracking your use of the Website. You can control or reset your cookies and other similar technologies through your browser, but this may prevent you from taking advantage of some of the advantages our of Website.
v. SafeRide may also use what is known as client-side page tagging, which uses code on each page to write certain information about the page and the visitor to log in when a page is rendered by your web browser. Tagging allows a JavaScript program to run on your computer, but it is limited to providing information about that page that you are requesting and the configuration of your browser. You can prevent tagging by disabling JavaScript in your browser but this may prevent you from using all of the functions of the Website.
d. Children Under 18.
i. SafeRide’sWebsite is not intended to be used by children under 18 years of age. You represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age by using the Website. If you are under age 18, you may not use the Website. SafeRide does not knowingly collect personal information from, or target our Website to, children under the age of 18. There may be some exceptions to this rule including, but not limited to, children who are emancipated.
2. How We Use Your Information.
a. Providing you with the Website. SafeRide and our service providers and vendors collect and use information to provide you with a customized interactive experience and to improve the value of our services. We use the information collected:
i. Allowing you to log into the Website;
ii. Operating and maintaining the Website;
iii. Communicating with you, answering questions or messages, and fulfilling your needs;
iv. For User-relationship management;
v. Improving theWebsite and our services;
vi. Developing new products and services;
vii. Advertising and direct marketing;
viii. Analyzing User behavior;
ix. To comply with legal obligations;
x. To process applications for jobs or internships at SafeRide;
xi. To recognize you as the same User when you access our Content;
xii. To precent potentially prohibited or illegal activities, comply with applicable laws, and enforce our Terms of Service or other legal rights;
xiii. For record keeping; or
xiv. Any other purpose disclosed when you provide your information or consent to our collection.
3. How We Share Your Information.
a. Sharing. SafeRide may, under limited circumstances identified elsewhere within this policy, sell, license, transmit, or disclose outside of SafeRide Health. Mobile information will not be shared with third party affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
b. Third Party Partners. We may disclose your Personal Information to third party service providers that process Personal Information on SafeRide’s behalf for functions such as:
i. User support and User management;
ii. Email services;
iii. Hosting and storage;
iv. Development;
v. Data analytics and predictive analytics;
vi. Data labeling and machine learning;
vii. Security; and
viii. Transportation.
c. Legal Requests. We may disclose your Personal Information pursuant to a subpoena, court order, or other legal request by or on behalf of a government body.
d. Safety. We may share your information to protect the health, life, or property of SafeRide or any other person or entity.
e. Subsidiaries. Your information may be shared across different SafeRide owned subsidiaries or entities having ownership interest inSafeRide. SafeRide and its subsidiaries share infrastructure, systems, and technology between companies and products to provide an innovative, relevant, consistent, and secure experience across all products you use. We also process information across the Company and its subsidiaries as permitted by applicable law and in accordance with our terms and policies.
f. Ownership Changes. In connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or insolvency event involving SafeRide or any portion of our assets, Website, or businesses. Information such as User names and email addresses and other information related to the Website may be some of the data items shared, sold, or otherwise transferred in these types of transactions. You will be notified via email or other such notice on the Website if a transaction described above takes place.
4. Security.
a. Standards. SafeRide has adopted and adheres to stringent security standards designed to protect Personal Information against accidental or unauthorized access or disclosure. This includes administrative, physical, and technical barriers forming a protective firewall against a breach of such Personal Information.
5. Managing Your Personal Information.
a. You are afforded a number of rights as it relates to your information, contingent upon local law, which may include the right to:
i. Correct, update, and delete your information;
ii. Access your information we have collected;
iii. Withdraw consent by ceasing use of our Website;
iv. Change choices for subscriptions, newsletters, and alerts;
v. Modify controls related to information sharing with partners;
vi. Modify controls related to target advertisements from SafeRide and third parties;
vii. Request access to personal information; and
viii. Request personal information be amended or deleted.
b. We store your data until it is no longer necessary to provide services, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
c. You may opt out of receiving promotional emails by removing your name from our mailing list through the “unsubscribe” link in the emails you receive.
d. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) for California residents and VirginiaConsumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA) for Virginia residents, users are granted various rights with respect to the personal information we collect, including the right to (subject to certain limitations):
i. Request to access the personal information SafeRide has about you;
ii. Request thatSafeRide delete all of your personal information;
iii. Opt out from the “sale” of your personal information; and
iv. Opt out of the“sharing” of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
e. If you wish to exercise any rights listed under this section, please contact us at compliance@saferidehealth.com. Please be aware that if you do not allow us to collect certain Personal Information, we may not be able to deliver certain products and/or services or may result in a Website malfunction. If you are not satisfied with the resolution to an inquiry made in accordance with the provisions above, you have the right to contact and/or lodge a complaint with your local authority.
6. Changes to this Privacy Policy.
a. SafeRide may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. When material updates are made, the Privacy Policy version date will also be updated to reflect that a revision occurred, and you will be alerted of the changes through a notice posted on www.SafeRideHealth.com, via email, and/or another means. We encourage you to reread this Privacy Policy to determine if any changes may affect you. A user of the Website is bound by any changes to the Privacy Policy when he or she uses the Website after such changes have been posted. This Privacy Policy is not intended to, and does not create any contractual or other legal rights in or on behalf of any party.
